Charlotte woke up to yet another sun rise. Thomas was still sleeping it seemed so she got up and out of bed. As she stretched her arms she remembered where she was. Her parents were either downstairs or in their bedroom sleeping. She went over to Thomas and started shaking him "Thomas! Tom!" She whispered. As he woke up and rubbed his eyes she went over to the door. "We need to get out of here... " She quietly turned the handle on the door as she and her fiance slipped out. As they tried to sneak down the creaky stairs they put on their shoes and left. "Well that didn't go well" Charlie sighed as she moved the piece of hair from her face. They walked down the roads until they returned to Charlotte's house.

When they opened the door all the lights were off. Suddenly when the lights illuminated the room she saw all her family and friends. "SURPRISE!" They yelled, making both her and Thomas jump. She saw Maple who had brought her phone back, Aida, and all her other friends. She looked at the table full of marvelous deserts. The only woman she could think of who made all those would be her mother. She glanced around the smiling group of people and saw both her parents. As she walked up to them she smiled, "Thanks guys". She looked at her father who was smiling almost as much as she was. What a bastard fooling me and Thomas like that! she thought. Her father had always been a jokester but never like this. she hugged both of them then went back into the crowd to socialize.
