Thomas saw all the people he had come to know in the village, including Charlie's parents.
Thomas's ears sulked as he felt bad for what he had said the day before.
Walking up to Charlotte's father Thomas tried to apologies " Mr.Scarborough, about yesterday.. I'm sorry. I just."
Thomas was unsure what to say, and was having a hard time keeping a regretful face, with all the smiling faces, and decorations.
