Thomas watched as Charlotte climbed the stairs, rubbing her eyes and yawning one big yawn.
Thomas tried to make himself comfortable on the couch, but he couldn't sleep.
His head was filled with thought of the days to come.
He thought about looking for a new home, about getting a new job teaching, and of course, getting married.
As the last rays of the sunset shown through the window, the room shown with a warm red hue.
Eventually Thomas was able to make himself comfortable and begin to drift off to sleep.
He dreamed of his former life as a Human teacher.
He saw himself as a middle aged man, and when he came home, he was alone again.
Waking up from the upsetting dreams, Thomas looked over at a clock to see that is was only 4:30 in the morning.
