The meeting with Lord Hashi went as expected; the man groveled at his feet the entire time, thanking him for his family's services. However, it wasn't hard for Lithium to see that it was empty praise. He sighed again. 'Ah well, I suppose all powerful men turn into swine sooner or later.'

It was somewhere mid-afternoon when Lithium returned to the apartment, and when he arrived he was greeted with an orderly chaos. Kittens were parading around the kitchen, Svajonė leading the pack, bird on her shoulder as always. He walked down the hall to find an embarrassed looking, albeit angry Night standing outside Lina's room.

Now, that was odd.

Night was never one to show any sort of emotion, lest he was around the smallest member of the house. "Night?" Lithium stopped next to the white-haired, masked man. "What are you doing?" He looked around the hall, black hair falling like a curtain over his shoulder. "Where's Avie? Is she home? You know she's not allowed to go out by herself."
