A low whistle carried on the cool wind, floating aimlessly down Lakeshore Road. It was soon followed by a tall, foreboding man with wafting white hair. Dressed in a suit, double buttoned down the front, he seemed to be going to or coming from somewhere quite fancy. Perhaps a business luncheon, or perhaps an afternoon date.
Hands in his pants pockets, the man strolled down the road after his whistle. Admiring the wilderness around him, he stopped to lean against a tree that had strayed too close to the road. A few minutes passed, but still there the man stood.
It was almost as if he was waiting for someone.
