Wes nodded slow. "Alright then." he said, "I guess we understand each other."

He kept the pace up until they arrived back at the 'den'. He was especially looking forward to facing up to Calvin, who had sounded pretty uptight on the phone earlier, but the important thing was that they had what they'd been sent out to get. He parked up the van in a discreet spot and jumped out the drivers seat, scooting around to usher the human, Alex and Kara out and towards the entrance.

"Home sweet home," he said facaeciously, trying to keep up the genial act which seemed to be keeping the girl compliant so far, "we'd better check straight in with Calvin..."

He looked about and thought of palming the report off to one of the others, but the looks he was getting suggested that everyone was keen to let Wes remain in charge whether he liked it or not. He grumbled to himself and shook his head.

"Right, follow me then." he locked the van and waited for everyone to disperse into their proper place, before sparing a quick look back between Alex and Kare. "So..." he said, clearing his throat and trying to act casual, "...are you two, like...y'know? Or...well, nevermind." He stopped himself, noticing that some of the others in the pack were smirking and shaking their heads at him. What? He just wanted to know...

Several lycans took posts by the entrance as Wes proceeded in, checking to ensure Jemima, Kara and Alex remained close behind. There were some unfamiliar and perturbing scents in the tunnel, but he couldn't hear anything which would cause concern.

"Cal?" he called out, "Yo boss, everything OK?"

Jemima proceeded in fear. She took in everything she could, but the place she'd been taken to was neither better nor worse than she'd expected. It seemed the Lycans lived much as humans would if they'd been forced underground. Everything her father had said about them not being animals rang true in what she was seeing. But that didn't change the fact that they'd taken her captive. And the lady who'd spoken nicely to her didn't seem to have much say in what was happening, so her hope of salvation through her was beginning to wane. All she could do was play along with what she was told and hope that something would work out.
