He watched Matt take a piece of something out of the box and bite it. It smelled delicious, making his mouth water and stomach ache. Nothing seemed to be happening to Matt as he chewed, he didn’t collapse out cold, start shaking or screaming in pain. Guess it was safe to eat? He took a few steps over, the blanket slipping from his thin shoulders as he went but not really noticing. He looked in the box, glancing up at the taller boy then slowly taking one of the pieces. It flopped in his hand, the smells intoxicating; he took a small bite out of it and blinked. It was hot, but not burning, and chewy. It was great, he hadn’t tasted anything like it before and soon the piece was gone and he reached for another.
