Jacob stifled a laugh and then let it out. It wasn't a huge hearty laugh, but it wasn't a quiet one either. It was a casual release of breath and it calmed him considerably. "Alright," he said nodding his head. He hadn't been on vacation for a while either. He was too busy being Jacob Lee. As he ate his food, he realized how grown he felt. Him and Isabelle were sitting at a restaurant casually having conversation without raising their voices. It would be a surprising scene to show Edric. Maybe they were more mature then the man gave them credit for.
He finished up the soup and took out his wallet. He fingered the black leather a bit until he found two twenty dollar bills. He checked the bill again and counted quickly in his head if it would be enough counting the tip. He shook his head and tossed in another five dollars. That would be enough. Standing up he awkwardly side shuffled so he stood at the side of the table. If they were still dating, he would have slipped his fingers into hers and stood her up. Then he would put his arm around her and whisper something into her ear. Sometimes a question, other times a sly remark around one of the waiters or waitresses, another customer, or the food. This time he would have to hold back from all of it. Jacob stood there and tried to figure out the best way to move without making a fool out of himself.
Smiling, he looked down at Isabelle, still seated. "So you wanted to go back to the room? Change?" He looked down at her outfit and tore his eyes from it. Jacob wouldn't have those thoughts in his head at this moment. Isabelle had said she wanted to be friends or at least she hinted at it. Jacob didn't plan to screw over double time. "You good? You know its still a little while of a walk to the hotel," he raised his eyebrow still making sure to look into her eyes not at the dress that hugged her curves. He turned his body towards the exit and tried to keep from getting red. Jesus, this girl is going to make a fool of me again, he thought waiting for her to get up. He turned his head a little to the back so his body still faced the exit, but he was looking at Isabelle. "You just going to sit there?" his voice playful with a twinkle in his eyes.
