A few hours later two more files were haphazardly tossed onto BlackBurn's desk. "Holy Hell!

The detective was just about to push the two folders off his desk when he suddenly stopped, steadying his hand directly over them. Without even touching the folders BlackBurn absorbed all the information contained within. The other officers were busy with their own overblown caseloads and so they did not notice the strange happenings that were transpiring only a few desks away.

If they had they would have seen the very words written upon the inner papers turn to a fine mist and rise out of the folders and into BlackBurn's fingertips. In that instant BlackBurn became aware of two strange cases dealing with recent deaths, one was that of an old woman in a yellow house on Memento Avenue up in the township of Mori.

The other seemed more up his alley, a possible murder, or so the local authorities thought. Normally he would have checked up on the second case first, but there was something about the death of the old woman which had caught BlackBurn's attention.

With a loud squeak of the metal legs of his office chair as they scrapped along the hard concrete floor the detective stood straight, donning his trench coat Detective BlackBurn walked out of the station and into the ever increasing gloom which began to override the atmosphere.
