Closing the door quietly behind her Lanuya entered cautiously, unable to believe that this was all real. It was all so beautiful and perfect- she couldn't have possibly imagened anything as serine! Going to the window Lanuya peered out, gazing at the forest and well-kept yard with a smile. It looked so very peaceful. Speaking of peaceful... Lanuya walked over the the glass piano and sat on the plush white cusion. Running her fingers lightly over the keys she found they had been swept clean, completely free of dust. Tapping the keys soft notes resounded in the room, echoeing momentartally before fading away once again into silence. Lanuya played her scales and listened until each note had faded before alcing her hands in the right position and playing.
The song was sweet and sad, having ups and downs to represent challanges, depressions, victories from beginning to end. It's title was so fitting no one could rebuke it; "
Another Summer". As she played everything fell together in a beautiful harmony, captivating the ears of those in the room of those near enough to hear. The song was as cold as ice though as Lanuya played it and a chill that came not from the piano filled the house. This was the song of total and utter loss.
After she finished the remaining chords rebounded in the room, creating a mystical effect one could only achieve from the right circumstances and years of practice. Lanuyas sat back and listened as her music fades away into the silence that overtook her room. Suagr and Velvet lay on the top floor of the kitty castle, gazing at their friend through seperate peep holes. No one moved until finally, after the last note had died, Lanuya sat back and sighed, realizing the whole time she had been holding her breath. "Un autre été..." she whispered, "Comment le raccord." Noticing now goosebumps had overtake her skin Lanuya quickly dawned a jacket. There was a sense of panic, loss and absolute cold that filled the house as if someone had turned the AC way up.
"Stay here," Lanuya told her kittens before going to the door. She could feel pain in all the other's thoughts, and in the very center of it all it felt as if some one's mind was a soild block of ice, only the barest spark of life hidden deep in the frozen core. 'What is going on?' Lanuya thought her herself, exiting the room and going towards the source.
