He didn't want to think of the, getting hurt to bad he hated anyone who harmed them too much. He wanted to forget the battles he lost when he was little watching his Pokemon being beaten multiple times. They trained hard and that was the only reason he got to fight like he did. He wasn't new to gym battle he always kept all of his badges from Hoenn and Johto. He had gotten most all of the,nut he didn't want to face the stronger ones in fear of his Pokemon getting severely hurt.
