Sam watched the going on's between Mokou, Tenno and Laz. He groaned and shook his head with more than a little frustration. The beer shared with Airi and Aika helped some and once they walked off he finished another two on his own. Watching the drama over the whole Triad, Yakuza gangland bs was ridiculous. Normally this would be some serious shit but with hordes of undead, demons and who knows what else lurking outside this was a colossal waste of time and energy. Sam heard Airi order everyone to bed but couldn't imagine getting any rest, not now. He got up and walked up the bleachers surrounding the gymnasium and sat on the window sill. Casually lounging there he let one leg hang off while he looked out of the window. He looked out on the school grounds and took in the terrible sight. All the bodies of friends and classmates that littered the ground. All the blood, all the savagery and for what? Who would do this? Why? Shepard looked on to watch the zombies as they shuffled about. Knowing nothing but the hunger that drives them. The more dangerous demons were hidden from sight. Sam's fists clenched as he though about the one that was responsible for this. He could almost feel their bones breaking in his hands for this. Then Airi's words echoed in his mind. "In the Blood Rose, duty comes before pleasure... It's a sad thing, but the pay out of being able to look at all these normal humans and not brain eaters, it's kind of a reward..." Sam's fists clenched as he set his jaw in determination. He'd join. He'd give everything to make sure this never happened to anyone ever again. He'd join the Blood Rose. He'd give his blood, his mind, his will. He'd spent his whole damn life reading comic books about people giving of themselves for the greater good. It was about time he did something similar.
