; After the plainclothes moved into the next cabin the shuttle disengaged it’s magnetic lock to the umbilical and docks, the main method used ‘at anchor’. The vessel went through a shuddering before the other umbilicals and fixtures were removed, letting the shuttle quietly begin to descend almost immediately down from the orbital station. It wasn’t until they had passed the farthest ‘station line’, a 5km strip of metal held at orbit from the station, that the horizon was finally lost and the blackness of space as now a tiny mote of dark above.

“Ladies and gentlemen we will be landing in Botso in thirty minutes, we will now begin serving refreshments.”

As the Captain clicked off the voice-comm the steadiness of the flight allowed attendants carrying various drinks and food with themselves. As one of the attendants came up the lane with a small rolling platter.
