Aylen's gait slowed to a lope as the smell of ash, brimstone and burnt trees became more dominant. A flash of a memory peirced her and caused her to come to a stop.
Aylen was standing on some sort of pedestal looking down at a pack of wolves. Her wolves to be exact. They answered to her, not Regulus. They were her family. She let out a growl of approval as they started to head out. They didn't need words to encourage them to let the bloodlust take over them. The bloodlust was always with them, mocking them, haunting them, encouraging them to fight. All wolves were natural killers, but her wolves were different. They craved the kill, they craved war. To get into a fight, knowing it's life or death. To taste the blood on their muzzles. Aylen jumped off the pedestal and followed after her pack.
Aylen's lips curled back, revealing her ivory teeth as she began to walk again. Her silent growl encouraging her to move faster. It gave her hope for some reason. It made her think that maybe her wolves were there, at the clearing waiting for her to return and lead them to victory.
