A sheet of paper flew by her. Instinctively she grabbed it and looked around. The only other person in the room was another girl, so Mali used her super duper detective skills to deduce that it belonged to her. She happened to see that it was sheet music, but she didn't read it. Mali knew what it was like to write music; until you wanted the world to see it, until you were ready, you didn't want anyone to find out.
She quietly walked over to the girl's desk. She looked terrified. Cheezus, am I that scary? Mali thought. She knew she could come across as intimidating, but never that much. Gracious.
"Um, I think this belongs to you." She flashed the girl a small smile. "I hope whatever you're working on turns out the way you want it to. I'm Mali, by the way." The Mali, not wanting to disturb the composer at work, went back and sat at her place and took out her own notebook and started writing lyrics that had just popped into her mind.
