For a moment, Jack was stumped. She thought of drawing something for her mother, or possibly her father, though she didn't really talk to them regularly. As she thought about it, an old memory came to mind.
Everyone seemed to stare at them as they walked through the crowded mall, however seeing as it was Halloween no one said anything. At the time, Jack was only 10 and didn't realize that her father was a wanted criminal and was taking a huge risk by being out and about like a normal parent. However, there they were, in the mall, shopping of all things. Jack stood next to an empty table as her father said he had to go somewhere real quick. Like an obedient child, she stood there for a we moments before her father started back, though he was walking rather fast. Jack wondered why her father was running but after a moment a store clerk came out of his store yelling. "You can't leave with that! You have to pay for it you fool!" The man bellowed but her father only laughed. Kneeling down, the Joker smiled widely as he handed the giant teddy bear to Jack. "I just want to see my little girl smile..."He told her in a rather loving tone before they had to run out of the mall.
She had kept the teddy bear, though as she got older it didn't seem to be as big as she remembered. Suddenly, she realized she had already started drawing the outline of it. A small smile crept onto her face before she started working on the rest of the bear. Jack held her sketch book close to her body, keeping it propped up with the table in front of her. She leaned close, to make sure she could see what she was doing. As she drew the bear, she gave it features that her father had. A huge smile. A purple vest. In its paws it held a bomb. All things that reminded her of her father.
When Alexander appeared at her table, her expression was rather shocked. She didn't think anyone would have approached her. When he opened his sketch pad she nearly gasped at the image that looked so much like her mother. However, she knew it was her. "Thats very impressive." She replied honestly, though she was not so keen on sharing her own image since he probably would not understand the importance of the bear itself.
As she sat there, her eyes moved onto Jay, who still sat alone. "You should join us." The words were out of her mouth before realizing she had thought them outloud.
