Callen had been in the middle of explaining her red hair to Quinn, telling him how the habit had begun as an attempt to fit in better in Scotland. With time, it had become so ingrained in her that she'd started thinking that she'd look weird with her natural black hair. Just as she'd begun remarking on Berlin (which she, in truth, only knew about through history lessons and a particularly wonderful piece of music), she was interrupted. At first she had no idea that Collin was supposed to be her, but when she turned to see who was calling out, she realised that it was just a guy who had misunderstood her name. Her expression darkened at once, but then she realised what was probably going on.
Th younger kid seemed to slither off, and by the looks of it, he'd made the other one veeery uncomfortable. "It's cool, man." she said, peeking over his shoulder to make sure the younger kid was gone. "And he turned the corner," she said, her voice lowered. "You should be safe."
She raised a brow as she looked at him, not even trying to hide that she wasn't purely happy. "My name's Callen. If you're gonna need me to save you from that guy again, it'd be pretty good if you'd bother remembering."

It couldn't hurt, could it? Besides, it was just the right amount of mysterious, so she could hardly not investigate it. Anna had stopped by a window, and looked outside, watching people pass by. Most of them seemed busy, but for her it felt like she had found the only spot in the world where time stood still. Slowly, as she thought about how she'd sneak up to the tower, she undid her braided hair, to let it hang loose. She wondered if she should make her way back to her and Callen's room, after all, Callen would probably be back already.
With that thought, she hurried along to the third floor, where the girls dorm rooms were. The boy dorms were on the floor below, and on both floors, the opposite sex were not allowed after nightfall.
Anna walked to the sixteenth door, humming a little tune to herself as she unlocked the door. As soon as the door slid open, she almost yelled out for Callen, thinking that the sooner she'd tell her about Jones and the book, the better.
"Callen, listen, I have to tell you... Oh. You're not here." the words degenerated into a mumble as she realised that the room was empty.
