Then there was something in the way, like bad emotions were being projected from someone. Then he felt Cade tugging at his sleeve and pulled him towards the exit. He set his mallets down and followed. ”That was Julye wasn’t it? Those emotions were bad.” He went down quickly and rushed to find Julye, who was now curled up by herself and trying to hold back tears. He went over and sat down next to her, his tail bumping and curling around hers. ”It’s ok….ssshhhh….it’s alright Julye…” He put his arms around her, rubbing one of her ears gently.

He blinked when the girl scooted closer, he wasn’t sure what she was going to do and the smoke around their feet got slightly thicker. She opened her hand, which had one of his black feathers in it, that wasn’t what he was expecting at all, but was more intriguing was the small light that was right in the middle of it, almost like the stars he watched at night. Too soon it was gone and she scooted back to her spot. ”That’s a cool ability. Controlling light yes?” He glanced at her, the nervousness that made the smoke thicker almost gone, making it almost unnoticeable.
