Second Pirate Frigate

Bravo team continued to move in file along the narrow corridors of the pirate frigate. The ship itself was fairly large, but not as large as an average Federation frigate. The ship itself seemed very quiet, devoid of life almost, despite the fact that only the ship’s drives were damaged. The crew should’ve been spared by the Salient’s salvo, perhaps they withdrew from the ship, but the hangar seemed to be crowded full of fighter craft.

“I don’t like the looks of this chief, I feel like they got an ambush set up for us,” Weifert spoke. “We’ve been through these corridors and we’ve only seen two bad guys.”

“Yeah, this place seems very quiet,” Reynolds replied.

“Just keep moving,” Eli sighed. Adriana was still leading; she was the cautious sort, inching forth slowly. She obviously had the right mind when boarding any enemy ship, despite the fact that her weapon had proven its capabilities. In the hands of another, they would've leaped forward with it, ready to blast any pirate away.

“Allo, there, this is Uncle Ray, have you guys fo’nd anythin’ yet? Over,” Ray's interruption had made Reynolds jump slightly when his voice poured forth through the communication channels.

“No, nothin’ yet, we’re heading to the bridge now, over,” Eli responded.

“Alrighty then, I’ll check back in with yeh in five, Uncle Ray out.” The comm channel remained silent after Ray disappeared.

Perhaps the pirates were lying in wait on the bridge, Eli could only wonder. He chose to remain silent, for even he wasn’t sure. The corridors were led to larger storage areas which wandered off into other corridors. The storage areas had large metallic cylinders; one could only guess what pirates held in those containers, but it was safe to assume that they contained weapons and armaments of many kinds.

“So, Sarge, how’d you get to be called “Blacksmith” anyways?” Weifert chuckled. He found it interesting and thought it could be something to discuss if they ever got bored, and they were bored.
