I looked at him, slightly embarrassed when he asked if I was alright. I nodded.
"What do you know about them?"
I pretended to think. "Them. The ward......well, besides the fact that it's a evil corrupted place filled with a bunch of douche bags? And the fact they turned me into a weirdo with wings? I know absolutely nothing" I said shrugging. "Surprise" I said with fake enthusiasm. I mentally laughed at myself. But that lasted for like two seconds before I sighed.
"All humor aside though. I really don’t know anything. Well except about the vampire....things but I guess you know about those too." I said shrugging. Then it struck me. Was I having a normal conversation? Or at least as normal as it could get? I mean, it's not normal when your talking about....wait. Another thought struck my mind. If there was another bird kid here.....then there must be more right? "Hey...have you seen any....more of us?" I asked quietly. God did that sound right? Honestly that was the best I could phrase it.
