Alaizabel smiled at his comment.
"Giving up your humanity... what a delightful idea." She murmured, giggling at the thought of tearing every last slither of emotion from inside their pathetic souls, making them empty and lifeless... how beautiful a sight that would be.
She watched him transport, following him through the shadows and gazing upon the collection of books.
That was one thing she admired about humans, in fact the only thing she admired. One thing they were good at was collecting knowledge, with her kind the gifts were passed down through the generations through inheritance and training, they had no need to contain their knowledge nor allow any other creatures to know it... part of what made them so dangerous was that nobody knew exactly what they could do. So for some humans to learn some of the greatest secrets passed down for years between demons just through studying a book? It was not only unimaginable, it was impressive. Even slightly menacing.
It wasn't often humans could be considered a threat.
Something suddenly clicked in the back of her mind and Alaizabel turned to the door. Without looking at him, she spoke to Trifect.
"Use the shadows to contact me when the girl is ready, there is something I need to check on first. And Trifect... watch where you use your powers. I don't know if you've realised but there is another demon in this castle and while I am not fully recovered she could be a threat." Her eyes slide back to the Chancellor, now pitch black with her shadow magic. "You are my most powerful weapon at the moment, I don't intend to lose you because of a slip up."
She spoke with the same gentle and sweet tone as before but now there was a hint of danger to it that only he would be able to detect.
Trifect knew the trouble that could be caused with a demon around, Alaizabel had ensured that 500 years ago, so she didn't expect him to make any mistakes but with another demon here she couldn't take risks.
With that, she vanished into the shadows, deciding to track down this other demon and find out how much of a threat she could be.
