~ Thunder's Story ~

Thunder felt weird for a moment, as he was suddenly lifted into the air and looked down to see him lifting him up into the air. "Agh! What are you -- um..." He placed his hands on his shoulders as he sighed out at this in frustration. "What a joke..." He said, shaking his head as he closed his eyes and kept shaking his head. The memory of when he first obtained this power came back to him, as he faded between the lines of reality and the unconscious world.

+ Some years prior... +

"Subject 105674, we're going to need you to try -not- to die out here." The voice called out, as it made the younger Thunder flinch a little. He glanced towards the glass which behind them held three important looking scientists, all of them all too eager to see how progress would go today. "... Bite me." He said to them, looking forward stubbornly at this. Thunder was currently standing in a completely white room, where several doors all around them held several other test subjects waiting to tear him to shreds. He instinctively felt his body sliding into some sort of stance, his mind preparing for the inevitable as he recalled the other tests he saw. For the past three weeks, he had to witness different people get torn to shreds under the power of the stronger subjects, the ones who were meant to led. Some in particular showed great talent for the Abaddon Rising event. The two red wings that were part of the symbol stood out to him for some reason, he felt drawn towards them for some reason. They were vital, was the meant note he kept to himself. "Alright, testing is about to begin in two minutes and counting. Prepare yourself, 105674." He glanced to the glass again and then to the door in front of him. That door was his only way out of this mess, the only way out of this nightmare, so why? Why did he feel the need to stay and fight? It made no sense... He couldn't fight. He wasn't strong enough to survive. If he was going to die, he would do it with honor. As the thought faded into his subconscious, the red lights appeared, and the curtains had been raised.

The doors were opened, and seven other figures came out. He recalled each face he saw that day, some of them he had sat near eating, others he had seen within the last three weeks survive and still be sent back in. He mentally recalled each name as he saw each facial expression pass by his vision of sight.

{ Ethan Brakinstan. Fifteen years old. Moderate threat level. Classified under the 'Strength' section. Ethan is known for his wild and sudden changes in his emotions, which play a big card when his powers come into effect. He has the power to change a physical part of himself depending on the emotion he is feeling, rage for strength, happy for speed, sad for senses, so on and so forth. Ethan has a kill count of 35. }

"So, I get to fight a nameless kid with six others? Not my thing." Ethan said, his attire consisted of a black cape with a dark red t-shirt and summer shorts. He had blue eyes, pale skin like the rest, blonde hair and several bruises on his arms and hands. No doubt he had been preparing for this moment, for whoever defeated the others would be getting higher praise. "Try to at least give me a challenge, guys! I don't want to have to kill you all too early." His menacing tone made the others realize he was out for blood and nothing less.

{ Herbert Leonard. Thirteen years old. Low standard threat level. Classified under the 'Supernatural' section. Herbert's Scottish accent implies where his origins may be. Herbert is well known for his silent and calm facial expressions, making him appear anti-social to others. Herbert's power appears to be related to skin manipulation, in which he can either make it as soft as jelly or hard as steel. Herbert has enough control over this power to be able to focus it on just one limb. Herbert has a kill count of 12. }

Herbert walked out and kept to himself, getting himself adjusted to the complete whiteness of the room. As the door shut behind him, he crossed his arms over his chest. Like the others, he wore a t-shirt, but his was white. His jeans hid most of his legs, his pale skin obvious, his brown hair and eyes looked too similar to each other in terms of color. Herbert's intentions were to fight and then leave, that was all he had to do here.

"You three, fight! The others will join in at a later time!" Ethan was glad to hear this, for he immediately made his way for Herbert, seeing him as the weaker of the two. His devilish smirk came as he neared his target, pulling his left arm back as his muscles suddenly began to change, increasing to near bodybuilder standards. "So long, weakling!" He cried out, as he sent his fist forward, only for it to stop upon collision with Herbert's right arm. Ethan's brows rose as he pulled his arm back, returning it to normal as he leaped back to gain some distance away from the maniac. Upon closer inspection, Ethan saw Herbert's arm had gained a more metallic look to it. "I don't believe we've been properly introduced." Herbert spoke out, as he clenched his metallic hand. "I'm Herbert, the Second Skin. By the way you look at my arm, you can tell what my powers already are. Don't get comfortable... It'll be the last thing you see today!" Ethan grinned at this and slide into a stance. "I like that idea, I call dibs on taking you out of the picture!" With that, the two charged for one another, with Thunder caught in the middle.

Three fights happened at the same time, only four got to remain standing. Thunder was luckily one of them, as he continued to speed around Herbert's brutal attacks that kept aiming for a vital hit. Ethan lay the ground as his eyes had rolled into the back of his head and blood was leaking out through the right side of his mouth. He had been taken down by purely Herbert, Thunder's powers were still developing as his speed continued to increase with each move. The other two victors were standing over two corpses, the other one had received severe injuries. They both glanced over at the current fight and had decided to team up, both of them charging in as they got the surprise on Herbert by kicking into both his ribs, he only had time to shield one. Staggering backwards, both made use of this as one sent a ball of fire into his chest, while the other one pierced through his shoulders with earth spears. They did the job, the fire ball exploding and sending Herbert flying back, sending him crashing into a wall. He struggled to move and tried with all his might to pull the spears out, but he was stuck and too injured to change his skin to get them out in a proper manner. Now it was two against one, and the odds didn't look good for Thunder.

~ Abaddon ~

The fight had gotten intense between the Commander and the Shapeshifter. With the Shapeshifter going all out and the Commander only doing half the same, it wasn't looking good. The shapeshifter had an obvious advantage over his prey, as he crashed into the body of the Commander and lifted him off his feet, then stopped midway and sent him flying into a tree, watching it fall over and break into pieces. The Commander rose up on to his feet shakily as he felt his body working in weird ways now, while his opponent merely laughed it all of. "What's wrong, Abaddon Commander? Our last fight, you were in the elite levels. Now you are nothing but rust and a waste of Abaddon's money. I'm going to enjoy every minute of this..." He sharpened his claws as the Commander charged forward, the Shapeshifter quickly swiping across his chest as he then kneed him in the wounds and kicked him into the ground, laughing as he saw the Commander collapse, his wounds growing and his body being revealed more as the fight dragged on. "I seem to recall one of the more feared Abaddon Commanders having more fire in him then this." He then raised his foot over the Commander's head as he quickly sent it down, only for it to hit the ground and shake it slightly. He narrowed his eyes as he was suddenly hit from behind, one of his wings snapping a little in the process as he was sent flying away and into the house, an angry roar emitting from his mouth as the house collapsed down on him, the roar being heard by everyone near by. The Shapeshifter rose up, blasting away the remains of the house off of him as he gritted his teeth at the Commander. "... You just earned a death wish!"
