Elisabeth continued to eat her food, though with less gusto then before, while Ty continued to talk. Finally setting her fork down in order to answer his question, "Well I play the cello. It's my one instrument, though I would never dream of playing another one anyway. What about you?"

She could tell that he seemed to be out of his element, what he said about not having a lot of people come up to him willingly to talk was just confirmation. You see, she noticed that his eyes bulge slightly when she first sat down and that he looked around, as if he would find some people laughing and pointing. She wasn't sure why he would think all people were like that, but then again if those were the only kind of people who came up to him before then she could understand. It was sad to her, granted she never had a lot of people willingly talk to her as well, they mostly just talked about her to her dad; this was one of the reasons she fell into reading and composing because she knew there she would be welcomed. Alice was only too happy to be joined on her adventures to Wonderland, Harry was grateful someone else was willing to help him take down the Dark Lord, and Lucy and Elisabeth were the best of friends as they went off into war together. None of her friends complained about having her along. Though she did have some acquaintance in the real world as well, she always felt a little lost around them and the odd one out.

"And don't take my comment on the whole 'one instrument' thing, that's just me. It's completely okay if you play two and still love them both just as much," she added as a side note, suddenly feeling her comment would offend him in some way if she didn't explain.
