Janet clumsily slipped out of bed and rubbed her eyes gently while letting out a yawn. She trudged over to her closet and spent a few minutes examining the various outfits she could wear for the day. Finally, she decided on the outfit which was her white laced skirt with a black bodice and a brown, quarter-sleeve blazer. A great sigh escaped her lips as she grabbed her outfit and make-up before heading towards the bathroom to shower up. After her shower she quickly blow-dried and curled her bright red hair and applied her eye make-up while dancing around carelessly to whatever was on the radio.
The apartment seemed too quiet today, besides the music, as she began to miss having her loud mother and brother screaming all over the place. She was eighteen and bought an apartment as soon as she could because she felt like she needed a break from all the noise. Independence was always one thing she had, but she was a little ditzy at times so it was easier with others around to help her at times. Quickly, she shrugged off the feeling and hairsprayed her curls into place while applying a bow to the back.
After Janet finished her make-up and putting on her jewelry, she trotted downstairs and grabbed a cereal bar to eat. A tone set off from her bedroom as she ran up the steps in her beige flats and checked to see that it was a text from the Maxwell Broughton. Her eyebrow raised as she read the text and then looked across the room, "Get together?" A small grin replaced her confused look as she looked forward to it and went back down the stairs to finish her breakfast, wondering who would go to the get together tonight. Knowing Maxwell though, it was no "small little get together" and it would be a party. The kind of party you would see in the movies.
