After Zach released her hand, Gwen took the time to take a sip of her tea. It was delicious and to her surprise, better than the tea served at home. It gave her a funny feeling inside and was indescribable really. Trying to not be distracted though, she turned to her companion and blushed a little at his compliment. It was pretty evident too, considered how pale she was.

"Thank you. I was named after my maternal grandmother, who was Welsh. I am said to have favor her physically." she replied.

Her mother was a blonde too, but had honey gold hair like her grandfather. Gwen's father had dark brown hair. Looking at Zach, she couldn't help but think he was a pretty handsome young man. Not wanting think about it much more though, she decided to answer his question.

"I was told this was a good place to come to and it's close my school. And I guess when you say 'better off', I guess you mean financially hmm? To answer your question than, yes my family well off."

What she didn't tell him was that as far as other factors went, her life felt fake internally. Overall, she did not think she was 'better off'.
