Mei had unexpectedly slept in on this particular day which was of great concern. She was a rookie angel and by no means did that grant her the right to start slacking off. She had just somehow missed the wakeup call and was now running late to attend to her duties. She wondered if by the time she got ready in her waitress uniform and attended to her routine, if she'd be the only one out there taking orders. It wouldn't be surprising if the other waitresses were missing but it would be when it came to her, she had never been tardy or called a sick day in her life! Well it was hard to call such a day in the first place.. being an angel and not a human. She hurriedly changed into her waitress uniform and dashed out her room after giving her attire one more dust off for a look of eloquence in comparison to that of a girl who had just jumped out of bed in disarray though that would be the more honest appearance, it was certainly not the most professional. A job was a job in both the angel and human world she concluded, and both were to be approached with utmost attention.

She easily slid through the restaurant doors that separated the staff from the prying eyes of guests with a tray in hand of refreshments for those who required refills or needed a drink while waiting for the rest of their order to be attended to but as usual, Mei had kept to herself moving about quietly only waiting to be called upon to serve. She did not find the job lowly in the least bit, though she felt that some humans did having to weigh upon another's orders and act so humbly while doing so. It was a change in pace in a way, receiving orders from humans instead of higher up angels sometimes but it was a part of the job and it only concerned their dietary habits and other eating interests afterall. It wasn't as if they were given orders to do something distasteful or unorthodox to her moral compass. Now and again, there would be customers who were hard to please or demanded more than they rightfully deserved. She was yet to encounter such a person though. For now, her experience at Love Cafe had been pleasant and there was very little that she would even consider of changing.

Mei's coworker angels were naturally occupied with their duties or so she assumed as she hadn't ever really tried to interact with them unless called for. She would attend to her job, nothing more and nothing less. Sometimes the days would pass by quite lonesome but it always brought inner joy to watch pairings meet up in the ever so eventful cafe. A customer waggled their finger in her direction to which she responded by calmly attending to the person's table, filling their empty glass of water to the top while keeping the tray in her other hand balanced, managing to handle both tasks as delicately as one possibly could. She didn't want to waste a single drop nor drop the tray and cause an inconvenience for everyone. That was definitely not the reason she was called here.
