Admiral Gallagher had not only been directly responsible for Connor's appointment as captain of the USS Yeager, he also had significant influence in appointing the very first Adellian in a position of importance aboard a star ship, one Lieutenant Gelbia, who would become chief Helmsmen.

His induction into StarFleet brought about much controversy, his acceptance as helmsman for the star ship Yeager was met with considerable unease and distrust. Much of the skepticism coming from those who had high hopes of being appointed to such positions themselves; the fact that Adellians were natural-born helmsmen was their major concern.

Captain Connor had just stepped up to the activation sensors which cause the the shuttle bay door to slide open, when he heard Admiral Gallagher call to him from behind. Turning to face his superior Connor was introduced to the newest member of StarFleet, a mysterious alien in a long gray robe who was now standing beside the Admiral, his head lowered in respect to Matthew's rank.

The Admiral was not predisposed to Connor's attitudes toward the Adellians as a species, as a result he wasn't sure if the Captain would react favorably to Gelbia's induction into StarFleet and as helmsmen of the USS Yeager.

The tall, gray clad alien stepped toward the Captain and slowly lifted his head to reveal its pure white complexion and black hollow eye sockets.

"Good day, Captain Connor." The lanky alien with a sheet-white complexion commented in a voice which ran the range between masculine and feminine tones and inflections.
