This so called god must have been spying on him to use chess terms, that’s how Lucien made his money gambling, his favorite was playing chess for money. He had asked Lucien what on the battle field was most important to him and Lucien had answered luck, and given him the ability to increase and decrease the luck of mortals, the god had asked who were the ones who won battles, Lucien had said always the strategist, so now he could think five contingencies at once and never forgot any info, plus he gained the math and probability skills that supposed even the mathematicians, and finally the god asked how would he fight, what did Lucien say that he would be graceful as an acrobat and could use a knife like a pro, because if he rather run then fight but he would need be able to defeat his opponent as fast as fast as he could, then he had what he had described. When the questions were over then he had woken up, knowing three things it wasn’t just a dream, he now had to protect other mortals, and this job was going to be a pain; but now as he looked at the hole in the sky he wished the last few days were a dream.
