Eve hurried out after Blake, tugging her own torch out and flipping it on. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw that it had a good strong light. That meant the batteries were in good shape. She stuck close to him, not wanting to be at the back of the group. They were the ones that always got picked off first, weren't they? Well, not so much these days… The beasts of the night would pretty much take anyone, whether at the back of the group or the middle. But she kept her light steady as she followed their unofficial leader.

"I hear you're going to Trinity?" The new voice startled her and she nearly ran right into Blake when he stopped to look around. The woman was strange looking as she stepped up to him… Eve knew at once that she was a Raider. One of the smaller villages near her little town had recently been completely devastated by the tribesmen. It had broken her heart. Normally very trusting and open to people, Eve found herself shutting down toward the woman. She frowned at Blake when he looked around at the rest of the group, unsure. A soft sigh escaped her lips when he told the woman- Nicole- that she could stick around until Lismoore and beyond, only if she got a light source.

Well, he was the leader. She wouldn't question him. Eve stuck close to the two as they began walking once more, but as the sounds of horror began behind them, she turned to look as well. Everything was pitch black. The three torches were the only light source nearby now, and the beasts of the night had descended on the little town they'd just left. She let out a soft cry, putting a hand over her lips. "All those people…" she muttered quietly.

"We can't stop.." Blake was saying. "There is nothing we can do.." The woman turned once more to their leader, biting her lip as he began walking again. She hurried silently on, ever the silent follower.
