Sabine's answer was only a tad reassuring, or at least Haven felt it was supposed to be. She smiled a bit. King. He'd said king. Vaguely, she wondered what in the heavens that was supposed to mean. Then again, maybe he just had a peculiar way of getting points across. Using metaphors, for example. Yes. Of course. Some people were just a bit more different than most. Nothing to be put off by. Nothing at all. The more time she'd spent around him, in that house, the more she learned about Sabine, the odder he seemed, and the more Haven, surprisingly, wanted to know. It was an odd feeling, and she found herself feeling somewhat appalled that she was so curious. It was something she'd been taught against as a child. Too many questions led to unwanted answers. It was just logical. But why, then, did she feel so compelled to learn more about this character? After all, curiosity was a bad thing, a horrible thing. Killed the cat and everything.

Haven's gaze flitted about the room and she wrung her hands behind her back, trying her best not to look outlandishly, embarrassingly awkward, suddenly aware of every small move she made. Was she this weird around everyone? Did she always appear this out of place and pathetic? If pathetic was the right word, that is. That's how she was starting to feel, after all, although she was at an absolute loss as to why. Maybe it had something to do with the whole out of the ordinary scenario. Haven was beginning to think she was over thinking things, over analyzing the situation. Was that a good thing or a bad thing? Should she try and stop? Could she, if she wanted to?

Sabine spoke once more, further still discouraging her small worries for him. And then he said, "Anyway, do you require anything to eat? I"m sure the cook wouldn't be bothered to make anything you like."

Haven locked her eyes on him out of sheer habit and courtesy. She wouldn't have minded anything to eat at all. But that was something else drilled into her habits since childhood: Never, ever impose. Even if your starving. You'll look boorish. Most disgusting. It just wasn't to be done. So, out of sheer habit, she shook her head as adamantly as she could. "Oh, no no no, I'm quite fine, thank you," she said hurriedly, quite willing to get her point across.Â
