Christian let out a sigh of frustration as Hannah ran after the huge intruder, wanting to help him and the teenager. She could get them all killed with her heroics. But at the same time, they had the armoured bus and probably the keys and even if they left them for dead, the idea of ransacking their corpses for the keys was a foolish one. So he followed Hannah and watched in a horrified awe as she snatched the fire blanket away from the wall and dove on top of the dazed girl, screaming at them - "Someone shoot the grenade! The blanket might protect us!" The urge to chase her and bring her back in the line of safety caught Christian off-guard but he halted as Kat fired her gun three times and on the third, the grenade exploded.
The explosion was as disgusting as it was successful. The creature had started to turn towards them and before it knew what was happening, it was in pieces. Instinctively, Christian turned and wrapped his arms around Kat, trying to shield her from obese undead as it went up down and all around. Chunks of poisonous meat sizzled as it made contact with the wallpaper and carpet and a few speckles flung against Christian's scrubs, melting in instantly, burning his skin. He flinched and cried out as he turned and looked down at where Hannah and the girl had been, the blanket totally covered in zombie chum.
"HANNAH! HANNAH, ARE YOU ALRIGHT? HURRY!" Christian shouted, starting towards the pile. "WE NEED TO GO!" The sounds obviously had excited the obese club and the thunderous sounds of them vomiting towards them reached Christian's ears.
Lulu's eyes were rolling, her mind swimming in darkness when she noticed the brunette woman above her, like an angel. She smiled softly, thinking she probably had died when the woman crashed down onto her and she groaned, the woman's barking voice muffled. Lulu tried to clear her mind, looking at the thick white blanket over her head. Moments later, a gunshot and suddenly the pressure of what felt and sounded like legs of lamb being rained upon them. She cried out, the air under the blanket suddenly getting hot and the stench was hideous.
She panicked and called out for Cameron, wanting to see if he was alright. But mostly, seeing him for some reason made her feel... well, safe. She looked at the woman on her and wriggled, rolling under her and pushing up, throwing the weighted blanket from them. She stood, albeit shakily and looked for Cameron, seeing him and her heart race settled a little. She outstretched her hand, helped the woman that saved her up and smiled.
"Th-thankyou." Her body felt heavy and weak as she stumbled towards Cameron. "I... I got them... Some-" She tripped and fell into him, looking up at him with a pained expression.
