Elle nodded, her head spinning. She was feeling better from the poison, but it was like just getting over a flu; you still felt like crap. Swallowing, she ran after Vee, John following behind. She was so confused. Was ALex her brother? What was the forest fire? What had happened to Alex? Had Saria found them? The questions jumbled around as she stumbled her way through the forest, avoiding a flaming branch that fell.
John
John looked over to Alex, just in time to see something play out in his head. After it was finished, he stood mouth agape. He looked from Elle to ALex to Elle to Alex then back to Elle again. Did all these Gracelings have deep rooted personal issues? He snapped out of it, jumping back as a tree landed in front of him. Right. Forest fire. Time to get the hell out of here. He dashed after Vee and passed Elle, who seemed to be stumbling. Damn it she was slow. What had she gone through? Based on her thoughts it was a poison. He rolled his eyes and picked her up and dashed forward, urging Vee along. This group was on a collision course with disaster. They were all freaking train wrecks.
