Alex was silent, instead he turned and began running. Not waiting to see if the others followed, briefly he thought of his chest but was un afraid, his horse was trained well. She would be well away by now, and they would reunite in time. As Alex ran he easily guided them on the least dangerous route, anticipating which trees would fall first and staying well clear of the burning branches. He spared a glimpse at Quick, he could see hatred in her eyes. She was likely blaming him, and she was right to, or at least to an extent. Yet it was not his fault fate had put them all on a collision course. He would have been happy to continue his existence without so much...added drama. He thought of Elle, not sure what to make of her, judging by his revelation they were related but...

He was jerked out of his thoughts by the sight of the tree line not far ahead. It was quickly being swamped by flames. They had to reach it soon or the opening would be closed. He pulled a vial from his jacket, then turned around and tossed it towards Quick. "Give that to willow, she'll be awake by tomorrow!" Then without checking to see if she caught it he veered in a different direction, ducking under a burning log just as it hit the ground. Cutting him off from them. The smoke was making it hard to breathe but there was one last thing he had to do. It could be suicide but he needed answers. It was time to have a little chat with his so called sister; Saria.

Saria

The smell of burning wood was almost pleasant to her sense of smell as she sat atop a large boulder and watched it burn. She was alone, waiting as was customary. The boulder was near the path but a little ways back, just out of sight of town and where no one was likely to notice her. She wore dull clothing and had done away with her mask and make up, even her eyes had become a normal green; both of them. She was completely unrecognizable to anyone who hadn't seen her face whilst unaltered. In her hands she held a book, it had a large intricate tree on the cover. Saria was unsure whether or not he would show up this time, but she had a feeling. This would be the moment of grace as always, the only civilized talking they ever practiced with each other. Though her and Alex were truthfully unrelated, she had grown up pretending to be his sister, and thus some of the bonds they formed were still there. Plus, the hunt was never any fun unless the prey was ready to fight back, afterall; what was the fun in killing an oblivious prey?
