Matt rushed home, Chase following closely behind sensing his masters distress. At the moments the only thing that mattered was making sure what was left of his Family was safe, the lack of food momentarily forgotten as something more personally important needed taking care of. His house was in a subdivision close to where Wally World was and he could hear yelling coming from the direction of the store. "This isn't good Chase." He says softly to his dog as he approaches his house. He looks around to make sure no one can see him, although most people know he has dogs most if not all are oblivious as to where he lives. He runs up the steps and opens the door, cursing himself for not locking it.

He ushers Chase inside and walks to the basement door to find it open. I know i closed that door.... and i do remember locking my house. He thinks to himself. He tenses up and looks around before leading Chase down stairs. When he gets to the bottom he finds Maggie where he left her, her eyes meeting his and her tail thumping a greeting but when she looks at something to the right of Matt he turns around in time to get punched in the face. Matt grunts and stumbles backward, holding a hand to his jaw. Chase is Barking at the intruder and Maggie is growling. Matt recovers from the hit in time to see the person point at him, expecting the worst Matt places a translucent shield between himself and his attacker. His opponent fires an attack at Matt but it strikes the shield and Matt feels a strain on his body as he tries to keep the shield up from the attack. Soon after the attack, Chase runs forward and bites the Kid's calf causing him to scream in pain and aim the hand at the dog. "NO!" Matt yells as extends his own hand and beam of red energy shoots out of it and strikes the kid in the chest, making him gasp in surprise and fall to his knees before slumping over to the side.

Matt rushes forward and hugs Chase tightly and pushes him away. He looks back at the body of the boy with a look of fury. "The food vanished only today and you were already going after my dogs?" he says to the body. How had this guy known where he lived? More importantly how did he even get into his house? "I suppose it doesn't matter know anyway." He shakes his head wishing that what just happened never had. He goes and gets a blanket and rolls the kid up in it and pick the body up and carries it over his should up the stairs and out of his home. He took the body and carried it away towards the cemetery where a older kid took it upon himself to bury bodies.

After he returns home he checks the house once again and is reassured that there are no other way in besides the doors, or breaking open his boarded windows he leaves the house again and he locks the door again, he still had to make sure the kids didn't have any nasty cuts or infections. The day care wasn't far from his house, so he just heads straight there. As he walks his mind wanders to his power, the power to use energy in many ways, he could create a clear wall to block attacks, but it will shatter if the attack lasts too long or was too powerful, he could fire beams of energy from his hand or create weapons out of the energy. Firing simple beams of energy was less tiring than molding the energy into anything else, say like a sword or bow. He played around with his powers a lot when he discovered them, he found that his power is very versatile, but weak when used in long periods. One of his favorite ways to use his power was he created a platform of energy beneath his feet and he would lift himself off the ground and glide around on it for awhile before his power was drained, which was very quickly when using his power that way. Every night he thinks of how he would use it if he didn't restrain himself, god he was secretly twisted.

He snaps himself out of his thought in time to find that the Day Care was around the next corner. He turns the corner and walks up to the back door of the day care and enters and walks down the hall to the nurses station where he left his med kit and looks inside it and takes a quick inventory of what was inside it. "There is plenty in here, guess i don't have to go scavenging anytime soon." He closes the kit and picks it up and leaves the room and walks down the hall to the play area, his foot steps echoing quietly off the walls of the empty hallway.He comes to the play room and he slowly opens the door to find the children sleeping. He sighs softly and a smile spreads across his lips as he gently closes the door behind him. He looks around the room and finds the one in charge of the daycare also asleep. Matt can't believe that he was able to sleep, but then again he probably didn't know about what was going on. Matt silently walks around the sleeping bodies and makes his way over to the boy named Kim. Matt gently places his hand on Kim's shoulder and shakes him and whispers "Hey, wake up there is a problem going on outside, i think you should know but i don't want to upset the kids can we step into the hall?" Matt says hoping he was heard.
