Amber hesitated, glancing at Aiden, then at the ground. While it was true, and it would change their souls, she saw only one tiny problem with that fact. She shook her head at the argument between Aiden and Arabella; this was the last thing they needed. Maybe everyone was on edge, like Aiden was. The arguments and the fights seemed to be happening much more often than normal. She understood that Jamie, Arabella, and Aiden would be so stressed, but the others had so little to fight about. She was only a food supply for Shad, and the leprechaun didn't know either of them well enough to be overly worried. She patted Aiden's arm.

"I think everyone needs to calm down; we'll never find anything if we don't keep a level head. The debt calls for two human souls; what will happen if they can't collect those souls? If, like Aiden said, we weren't human anymore? How upset will the demons be? And what will they come after instead?" In theory, it made sense, but the demons didn't strike her as a being to give up. They would collect their debt, even if they had to change what they were collecting.

"We need to think this through a little more, I think."
