Feeling his forehead, he could feel how hot he was, and that he needed cooling down, which was why he gave him the water. However, he needed more than that, which he why he told him it wouldn't help much. It gave Jackson some cooling down and comfort though, as Ro spotted the corners of his mouth tugging with a smile on his face again, which in turn made Ro smile. He was glad it was working out, though one simple drink wouldn't cure it all, and though he had said he wouldn't leave him, he would have to leave one more time from his side, as much as half of him told him to stay.
Just as he was about to return to the kitchen, he then heard a faint sound from Jackson, "Thank you....I'm sorry...". Course Jackson was eccentric, active, full of energy, which all increased and made him hyper when he was drunk aswell as burning himself out, but apart from his persistance, Jackson had given him something no one had before. The kisses he got from the girls didn't feel right, mostly due to them being drunk, but Jackson's had hit the note, and had more feeling behind it, despite him being more drunk than others. It must mean something.
He wanted to tell him that, but he didn't want to break down and start acting like a girl. Not only that, but they also had company, and right now, it was Jackson that mattered, as he whispered, "It's okay", adding a soft smile as his hand touched his cheek as he looked to his eyes, before he got up and got to the kitchen, before he got any ideas. It would be wrong to get the idea or say anything foolish, as the way he felt could be changed tomorrow when he woke up.
Returning from the kitchen, Ro this time sat beside Jackson, putting the cup on the table, before applying the compressed cloth of nice cool water on one side of his cheek, before moving onto the other, while his other hand felt where he was hot before the cold compress followed suit. It should help, as Ro looked back to Jackson, "So how you feeling?", he asked as if he was a Doctor, though he generally asked due to his concern.
