Not only did he force his smile, but his tone of voice was dull and he instantly steered away from the topic right afterwards when he started talking about Lauri's own family and what they could do for Christmas. Was it really so difficult for him to pick up the phone just to say Merry Christmas? He didn't even have to stay on very long!

"We could buy some games to play when he comes to visit..We need to figure out what we're going to cook for dinner too.."

She shook her head and stomped up to him. "Don't change the subject! I'm being serious! You really need to call them. Whether you don't get along with them or not, they're still your family and Christmas is a holiday where friends and family should get along. Listen pasta eater, you're calling them tomorrow got it? I'll stand right there too to make sure you do." She said, glaring up at him for a few seconds before smiling and walking passed him. "It's either that or I'll devise an evil plan to make you and Ron somehow end up standing under the mistletoe together and you'll be forced to kiss! I'll take a picture of it too! I'll also take back your gift and buy you a moped that you'll never be able to drive and I'll sneak into you room and make Cuddles pee on you for the next three weeks and I'll blast the alarm in your ears every morning for a month."

She stopped after walking about five feet in front of him and slightly turned, giving him a challenging smirk.
