"Whatever your food did to offend you, I'm sure it will apologize if you ask it nicely enough. Or you could just eat it, that would work, too."
Morgan sighed as Volos left without a word. "Cheery kid, isn't he?" Morgan shook his head, checking his watch. He needed to get going, Chuck would be expecting him in twenty minuets. He put the coffee cup in the sink, and grabbed a piece of toast. He gave Reito a kiss on the cheek, saying, "I don't know when I'll be home, it may be late. Chuck and I will be downtown most, if not all, day. We really need a good lead in this case, or at least a break. I'll see you when I get home, but don't wait up for me. One of us not getting enough sleep is bad enough, let alone two.."
He went through to the garage, starting up his pride and joy. The bike roared to life as he guided it down the driveway, catching Volos as he was about to cross the street. Morgan paused, cutting off the kid's walking route, and lifted up his visor. "You know, whatever your breakfast did to offend you, eating it tends to shut it up. Just a thought, kid. Try not to get into too much trouble. I know, it's not easy. But you're a lot smarter than most kids. It isn't really fair to them, now is it?" Morgan didn't wait for a reply, but instead roared off, heading to his meeting point with Chuck.
