"You look lonely" Darcy speaks from behind the boy. She barely noticed him passing by, noticing he looked a little uneasy. Perhaps she gave him the wrong idea. After all, it's not that she disliked him or anything, she just thought he wouldn't want to be stuck "babysitting" her, so to speak. At least that's what it seemed like to her.

"Sorry I ran off back there" she says twirling her long hair around her fingers. Her headphones hanging lazily around her neck. "But you really don't have to keep me company you know" her tone sounding plane and slightly dry. After all, being alone was nothing new to her. If anything, it was the only way she knew how to live now. Since her grandfather was always on a trip, she was always at the house alone. And she never got close enough to anyone to have any actual close friends. Maybe at the most, acquaintances. But she was fine with that. Not having anyone close to her meant not living with the constant fear of losing them. It just made things more simple.

She looks around the area, at the grand festival. The smiling faces, the smell of food. The sound of the festival floats. She had kind of missed that. She hadn't been to one in several years. She suddenly stops in her tracks to come to a realization. -Wait a sec...what is this festival even about??-
