Sparkles shuddered as the moaning child left Alan but then shrugged and started shoving bottles of soda into her messenger bag along with as many snacks as possible. Hearing the gunshot unlike everyone else she didn't shudder. She walked by the bathroom and saw herself for the first time in the mirror since the strike. Her hair was unwashed and greasy her dress looked like a disheveled rag wrapped around her. And Sparkles realized how much older she looked. Her eyes had dark circles underneath from lack of sleep. "Oh my god." She muttered to herself. For the first time in her life she felt ugly. She didn't like this feeling. Then she walked over to Matthew. "Matthew do you think I'm ugly?"
