Fay X'san

“You, come with me,” the voice was less than pleasant that called to the Navile who was on the floor in shock at what had just happened. Not but a few moments before and she'd been talking to the Steward about the Navile. Fay had been trying to convince him that her kind wished to venture forth from the Navile forest and that they weren't a threat to anyone. However, things had gone down hill and everything had turned on its head in mere seconds.

A man had burst into the room and thrown her to the side just as a huge amount of magic had blasted forth. Her heart had nearly stop at the sight and she'd thought for a mere moment that the man had been killed. With a woman calling to her, Fay was snapped back into reality and her head lifted to look at the woman who looked at her with a less than inviting smile. Fay got to her feet slowly and followed the two women from the room. She only turned once to see the man who'd saved her shut the door behind him to the Stewards private room.

Once outside, the woman with dark hair eyed her carefully, her smile continued to spread on her full lips, but as the first one, it was more terrorizing than pleasing. Fay felt her heart tighten in her chest as she gazed at the dark beauty before her. A sudden shift caught her attention for a mere moment as the woman with silvery hair turned and left them.

“Your name first, then you’re going to tell me what happen before we arrived, because, let’s just say fanatical rulers are the least of your worries at the moment,” the woman's voice deepened the more she spoke. Obviously she was irritated about something and for some reason Fay was the center of her irritation. She wasn't sure how to take that, but she did know that at the moment she owed this woman and the mysterious young man her life.

"Fay X'san of the Navile. I came here because our clan is trying to receive pardon to leave our forest and interact with the world outside. We are part of this Order and so we knew we had to come here first before going anywhere else. When I first came here there was a kind of fear in the air. It still lingers and I heard whispers about the Steward being mad. Still, I went to go see him.

"I was admitted to his audience and the moment I walked in he was already enraged at my presence. I hadn't said anything to him yet, and he went off as if I were some plague or worse. I started trying to talk to him, but no sooner as I had opened my mouth he deemed me dangerous and evil. I haven't been here long, in fact you all walked in right at the peak of his fit. I don't know anything more than that, I'm sorry," Fay finished. She watched the woman carefully, hoping that her account was enough to satisfy.

Armen Sorien

Cold water spilled over his head, dripping into his partially opened mouth. Slowly his eyes opened and he looked up into silvery hair and a beautifully clad woman. He took a deep breath and realized that he was laying in her lap. A cough filled his chest and it shook his body as he expelled it. His breath was short but he was awake, finally. He eyed the woman carefully, unsure of what she wanted or even if she were real. Armen wouldn't be surprised if she was nothing more than a hallucination. He'd been without water and food for so long that he was bound to have something go wrong mentally.

Slowly his hand reached up and he brushed his fingers along the tips of her hair, then reached further and touched her face. The hair was silky soft and her cheek was warm. Her body was solid under his head and he could feel her heat radiating towards him. A smile of relief filled him as he gazed at her.

"You're real," he said, his voice hoarse. Armen let his hand fall away from her face. So, she wasn't an illusion of some sort. There wasn't any magic around to create her figure out of thin air. Even if she were nothing more than magic Torak would have taken her away already. No, she was definitely there, holding him gently. From elation and happiness, he went to confusion. Why was she there? Had something happened? His eyebrow came down as his eyes were still locked on her.

"Why are you here? What's happening?" He asked her, another cough shook him, this one filled with a bit of blood. The beating he'd taken from Torak had definitely taken it's toll on his body. However, that was the least of Armen's concerns. He didn't care about his own self, he cared about the girl sitting there with him and anyone else that may have gotten into contact with the Steward.

"Did you come with others?" He asked, his heart racing then and his eyes wide with fear, their reddish-brown color turning to a darker brown, almost black with his fear. Armen pushed himself up quickly, only to have the room spin before his eyes and he fell back against her, this time leaning on her shoulder. He closed his eyes and tried to get his bearings back.

"We have to go to your friends. The Steward... the Steward is mad! He locked me in here for no reason. I don't understand why he's so afraid of me. I've done nothing but serve him as a loyal guard! Something's happened to him. I fear that he may lash out at your companions and do worse to them than he's done to me. Hurry," he said, his voice slowly coming back to him the more he spoke. Though, the dryness at the back of his mouth was still there and quite irritating causing him to cough often through his speech. Armen tried a second time to get up and hoped that he wouldn't be a hindrance to the young woman who'd just helped him.
