After giving Nurse Joy her Pokeball, Houndoom contained in it then, Nathan decided to speak to her directly, as Sebastian was busy speaking with Professor Birch. Mykeisha clutched her bag tightly in her arms, not out of fear, but out of habit.
"So, are you nervous or excited?" Nathan asked the girl calmly. "A-A little bit of both really," she responded with a flattered smile, "I mean," she implied further, "I can't wait to get there, but I'm worried about making my own mistakes. Fighting without a real plan can be a bit stressful. Also, representing Hoenn like this, it really makes me excited and nervous at the same time." Nathan walked directly up to her, which intimidated her a bit, but he was very calm. He grabbed her shoulders.
"You're always so tense," he stated, "Even when your confident, or when you're having fun, you are tense. That's why you're able to carry that bag so easily, and it's why you even brought a stack of books in it with you." He smirked a little. Mykeisha gave a wide nervous grin, of course he could tell she was carrying books with her! Just the feel of their weight gave her comfort. Carrying books always kept her calm. Perhapse her shoulders were tense from being used to carrying slightly heavy loads all the time. Still, somehow she could only grin nervously as to how see-through she was.
"Listen," he explained, "Remember that you aren't just a 'representative for the elite four', you are representing the elite four, not just in strength, strategy and skill, but in mindset, courage, confidence and passion. You can't embaress us all, but you can show them that even if you failed, you weren't 'another trainer' that didn't truly have the resolve to win, and that the Elite Four of Hoenn aren't afraid to win either. Think of it as if the rest of us were right beside you." "B-Because," Mykeisha cut in to finish, "Because the Elite Four never truly fights alone?" Nathan nodded and took a step back from her.
A wave of confidence rushed over Mykeisha, as she couldn't help but grin. Nurse Joy was finished healing Houndoom, and was about to walk over to give it to Mykeisha. "I-I got a phone call to make," Mykeisha said, barely being able to contain this newfound confidence. Mykeisha walked over to Nurse Joy and took her Pokemon back, thanking her. She noticed Sebastian was still on the phone, so she decided to rush to use the phone at her house. As she headed for the door, Nathan stopped her with his voice. "Hey, Koakuma!" he called, "You are going to win that for us, right?" He asked the question as if it was an order, but Mykeisha only smiled brightly as she hitched her bag over her shoulder. "Yes, don't worry about a thing," she responded, as if she was sent on some duty. She then made her way out.
Running through Ever Grande City, "The city of flowers," she made her way to her house quickly and dialed the phone in her kitchen. She then called the one person she wanted to call first. Her Aunt Caroline-Marie.
After a lengthy and warm conversation, Mykeisha made her way back to the Center, where Sebastian was looking for her. "Shall we get moving?"
(OOC: I suggest we time skip to Slateport, the other two are getting lonely.)
