There was little to no time to think. Through the streets explosions set off and the pavement buckled and rippled, creating ditches and trenches for the soldiers on the ground to use. The Captain kept looking forward, firing his weapon as the other six soldiers moved up. Vehicles were destroyed, tipped over, some ripped in half, some dead civilians could be seen scattered around like discarded tissue paper. But there was no time for that now.

"Sergeant Payson, you deal with Calvin, we have to focus on getting through this street!" the captain said. "Just stay behind something and you'll be fine!" he said to the girl, crouching down behind a tipped vehicle.

Up above on the rooftops, the Omega Forces kept hopping the gaps. "Lt. Maynard, can you contact Calvin? I have my hands tied up here," Locke said, watching the scene below. There was still an incredible cloud of dust from the fallen building, but most of the remains could be seen now. Soon enough, small rotor-wing aircraft came up to harass the Omega Forces up above, dropping some infantry down, letting missiles fly and a bullet storm unleash. One helicopter shot down by missile fire which began spinning out of control off to some distant area.

"Sure thing, sergeant.," came a response over the radio. Attempting link up with Calvin's terminals, a screen of another soldier appeared on Calvin's screen.

Before the advancing squad in the street knew it, an armored vehicle came down through a nearby alley to reign hellfire upon the seven soldiers with a heavy caliber machine gun. A ramp extended from the back of the vehicle, and what seemed to be sixteen soldiers came running out to stall the group.

"Shit," the captain said, now pinned down with no way out. "Locke, can you do something about this!? I have more of these bastards in my way!" the captain yelled, almost out of desperation but too determined to let it fully be expressed. Without hesitation, Locke began running towards the edge of the roof and jumped off. He dove and about a third of the way down a glider deployed to slow his fall, retracting back onto a pack on his back, holding a handgun in one hand and his rifle strapped to his chest. As he landed on his knee over the armored vehicle. He looked over to a militant at the base of the vehicle, a bullet hitting his breastplate and getting stuck in there. He fired back at his attacker which fell flat on his back, easily shooting another one behind him as he moved to cover. He reached over to open the cockpit hatch, dropping a grenade in there and then dealing with the oppressors as one by one they turned around to try and stop him, and one by one they would also fall to the ground with holes about a half-inch in diameter were made in their bodies. An explosion sounded from within the armored vehicle, the threat neutralized.

"Goddammit Locke... well done," the captain praised him.
"Yeah, now let's start moving while we can, we don't need another thing like that happening soon. C'mon!" Locke pressed the squad forward. He took lead as the soldiers obediently followed, the captain too trailing behind.
