Kenji woke to the smell of burnt toast, his uncle must be making breakfast again, well trying anyway.
Kenji rubbed his eyes and jumped up, grabbing a towel he headed to the bathroom to get washed.

About twenty minutes later he was dressed, ready to go. He made his way down he stairs into the kitchen, the smell of burnt toast began to mix with the insense that his uncle burnt everyday in honor of Kenji's mother. Nothing like another morning of grieving to remind Kenji he had no one..... well he had his Uncle, but he only cared for Kenji because of obligation.

Stepping into the Kitchen Kenji checked his watch, he had to leave soon if he wanted to make it school on time.

' Morning Uncle, How are you this morning?' Kenji asked this every morning and the answer was always the same
' I've seen better days, here have some toast'
But not today, instead his Uncle replied:
' I'm great, here I made rice balls for you to take for dinner, help yourself to toast'

Kenji did not reply to his uncle, instead he began to pack the rice balls, which he probably wouldn't eat but he didn't want to break his Uncle's good spirit.

' The Sohma house was busy this morning, I wonder what they were up too' His Uncle had a thing about the Sohma's, he constantly wanted to know what they were doing, whilst Kenji was not interested in them at all. In school they often came across as elitist and they only spoke to each other.

'I better go, see you later'
And with that Kenji left. He had to pass the Sohma house on the way, maybe he could catch a glimpse of what they were up to on the way, even though he was not keen on them together, he was always interested in their main house. As he got closer he could make out the figure of Keiko Sohma, the only one he really knew the name for.
