The Average One
Micah brushed through his soft black hair, his bright eyes looking into his through the mirror of his bathroom. He hadn't quite dressed up as anything, thinking if he was the only one to show up to Tyler's party he wouldn't hear the end of it. Micah slipped on his white t-shirt and pulled on his gray sweat shirt. Leaving the bathroom, Micah grabbed his old iPod Nano from off of his dresser and clipped it to his pants. Putting in his ear phones he flicked through his songs till it rested on one of the best songs made (in his opinion), Gangnam Style by Psy.Â
Before leaving he took one last glance at his dad, passed out on the couch, a loud snoring coming from his throat. His head had wisps of grey in it that seemed to be extravagant against the blackness of the couch. An empty gin bottle lay on it's side across the mahogany wood of the coffee table. Micah but his lip in anger, at least he'd be leaving this and going to his friends house. His dad didn't even notice when Micah slipped through the door into the cold Halloween night.Â
It didn't take long to walk to Tyler's house. They both lived in the same neighborhood, their houses only about six blocks away from each other. Micah moves closer to the creepy house of Tyler to see two figures in the door frame. He came closer to see Stacey and Travis. Both of who he was friends with. His eyes settled on Stacey for a moment longer then he should have. She had been his crush since forever.Â
"Hey guys." Micah said, a soft smile on his features as his hands were stuffed in his pocket. Casually walking up the steps.
