Alan knew that Hagen would never fully trust Alan, but Alan didn't care much about the trust given. "If I can't tell you this, then what would be the point of joining a group. I should be able to trust you with information. I will not tell anyone I don't trust with this information." Alan was surprised that Hagen hadn't figured that out already. Alan had done many 'things' as a child, but he regretted none of those deeds. Regret would only make him weak and inefficient, so he let go of all regrets due to him repaying most of the debt he had accumulated. "Actually I just have some few rules you have to follow if you want to be a part of this. First of all defend the weak; help those who can't fight their own fight. Everyone has the right to rule their own life, if you spot some tyrant I want you to take action. When that is said, the word "action" can mean a lot. We are a few and I don't know the strength of any of you, so at first you have to inform me as fast as possible; that is the action I want you to take. I am the face of this organization and I don't want any of you to get beaten up because of me. If anyone is going to take some hits, it's going to be me. At least for now." Hagen was finally telling the rules, so Alan would respond. "I will personally incapacitate any tyrants I come across, but I will first have to figure out how to take them down. I will not kill them, since it would be too easy of a punishment for them." He wouldn't kill anyone, if he could control himself when fighting. He preferred to break someones pride and make them unable to hurt others, since it would teach them a lesson about how the world works. "As I mentioned earlier I don't know the strength of any of you, so I want you all on either lookout or scout positions for now. Lookouts are going to keep an eye on the members, they will also be our source of communication. Scouts are going to look for those with us, against us and of cause the neutral. I will be the only fighter for now. I am going to give my schedule to those on Lookout position, just in case a member gets attacked. Then they can find me and inform me." Hagen was making a bit of sense, but Alan decided to make something clear. "I will be a scout, but I will not resist fighting if I am forced to. Backing down will not prove I'm weak, but it will leave the attacker unpunished." He didn't fear death, since he didn't have anything to lose or at least he thought he had nothing to lose. He thought of his mentor to be an important person and he would not die until he made sure his mentor was safe. "I will probably never fight in the front lines, since my powers would make me a nuisance if I was out in the open." Alan was simply stating the truth and no more. "I would be glad if you could both be scouts for now. Then you can also operate from the shadows as you both requested. That is unless you have anything else in mind?" Hagen seemed to be finished, so Alan would take his leave and head towards his dorm. "Nothing of importance. I must take my leave now, since my head is still hurting due to the 'incident' I had yesterday. I'll see you around Hagen." He started walking away, since he needed to be close to a shadow to use the spell he had in mind. He bit his thumb and a bit of blood came out, then he let some blood drip onto a shadow. He then used the shadows and all shadows connected to the main one to travel to his dorm, since this would be a more convenient way of travel. He was lucky that no one flashed a flashlight on him or it might have been painful. He was in his dorm and he laid on his bed, since he needed to rest a bit. He wondered what would happen now that he had become a part of the academy. He decided to write to his mentor.

Daniel. I am enjoying this academy, or at least I think I am. I will keep you informed of what is happening, if anything of interest happens. He sent the message to his mentor, since it would be rude to not reply to his mentor's letter.
