The poison, an apparent neuro-toxin, had been negated by a Chief Medical Sorcerer back on the homeworld of Saladin, the planet Kelante. And, through studies of the poison, not only was a successful antidote found, but also a vaccine. And so it was that Saladin had left boxes in various places, containing vials of the drug.
Having returned to normalcy with more speed than this 'Rigel' fellow had expected, Saladin approached the three paper notices on the wall. He tilted his head to one side with an obvious curiosity. What exactly was the purpose of this 'Rigel' fellow? The first two names were expected - his own and that of Aderas.
But, the third name? Tessandra? A slight memory returned to Saladin, and he simply shook his head in disbelief, and in pity for this 'Rigel'... The man considered himself some sort of elite fighter, claiming all in this realm was weak... Yet, he targets a youngling, a new one to this world, a woman who does not even fight. Did this 'Rigel' assume, somehow, that he would gain superiority in fighting and targeting who was essentially a child? Shameful, pitiful, embarrassing.
"Some people..."
And with that, Saladin took a hold of the first two papers, grasping them between thumb and forefinger. An instant later, with a momentary flash of fire, the papers were burned to ash, and as the soft grey remains of the sheets fell to the floor, Saladin repeated the same action upon the third notice. Sufficient, certainly, to give a message to this 'Rigel'.
However, Saladin was not one to suffer such people lightly, and with a nimbus appearing about his body, he began to weave Saidin. Threads of Fire, Earth and Spirit were woven with a great precision. Upon the wall was placed a larger piece of paper, with letters inscribed upon it. Not with ink, but as though the letters were a part of the paper itself:
Rigel of Order of the Moon:By decree of Simtar Saladin Akara, Warrior of the Order of the Night, Sorcerer of the Kayzard, Ruler of the world and people of Kelante, the above named is challenged to combat in the methodologies native to this place. Using this particular medium for the encounter.
Fire and Earth had worked soundly together to create the notice. Now, the weaves of Spirit were put in place, about the wall, and with an invisible barrier, protection was made. None could see or sense weaves of Saidin, save for those who also could Channel. Should the wall be touched, or the notice, this 'Rigel' would be met with a rather... Unpleasant... Surprise.
Turning his back to the wall, Saladin opened a Gateway, and stepping through it, returned from whence he came. He secretly hoped that 'Rigel' would be brash enough to touch the wall. For, of course, he would have no clue about what Wards had been put in place.
Saladin chuckled as he allowed the Gateway to close, pretty damn sure that the apparent 'warrior' would be foolish enough to make the mistake.
