Poppy emerged from her bedroom, which she usually locked herself in to draw and sketch whatever took her fancy. She looked around the corners, unsure of whether anyone was in the house. Assuming that her "father" was at the bar across the road, she tip-toed downstairs and into the kitchen to find something to eat. Dancing on the kitchen tiles because she thought that no one was there, she peeked inside of the cupboards and looked for something that wasn't alcohol or too much to eat. Finding a packet of Oreos, she took two and munched happily, clutching her sketch pad in her other arm.
