She could hear his words and they wrapped around her, making a safe zone. The tears were lightening up as he kept his voice calm. He
did care. As the lights went out she wasn't scared, because she was still in her safe zone. He was her safe zone.
"I said, I can understand why now," Koby repeated.
"I'm sorry I was so...full on, I should probably have gotten to know you better," Rayna nodded as she agreed they still didn't know each other well. She was scared and he was was strong, for her. That's really all she needed.
"I'd never, ever hurt you, Rayna. I was raised by my mum, taught to respect women," She squeezed his arm, remembering how he had hit on her a mere 24 hours ago. She wasn't sure if she believed him but she definitely wasn't going to leave during the darkness and storm that surrounded them.
"I...You're safe with me, okay?" Koby was now whispering in her ear, as she was trying to regulate her breathing. She opened her eyes, but it was the same as her eyes closed, pitch black. Rayna could feel him breathing, so she knew she wasn't alone. But she did want light. So she gently slipped her hand into her pocket and grabbed her phone. Pressing the button the was now a dim light in the room. It was sort of eerie, the flashing of lighting and being in a scary room. She looked back up to the face that was so caring and full of concern. Putting her arms around her neck, she adjusted herself so she was now
facing him as the cupped his face and kissed him. The lighting struck as she pressed her lips upon his and it was almost surreal. Like a scene straight from a movie.
"Thank you.." She whispered as she gave him one last peck on the cheek. Removing her hands from his face she slid her hands into his. This might have been moving fast but he seemed like a genuine guy and she was
maybe getting feelings for him.
