Fionna took a small noticeable step back as Andrew offered her the apple. "No..thank you. Apples and I don't really agree" she said rather too quickly. He lowered his offer of the apple from her. "Thanks though...again" she said awkwardly. She rocked on the heels of her foot searching for something to say. Koby came in and stomped about making all sorts of noise and headed for what must be the laundry room. Jake jumped up from the table and followed him. After some time, Jake left announcing that he was getting pizza. Fionna tried to make small talk, she had never been very good at it.

All of a sudden lightning flashed and the lights flickered and went out. "Oh.. she said with a jump. She wasn't scared of the lightning, but she had always been scared of the dark. She blinked as her eyes adjusted and started to shake. She reached her hands out for the stranger searching for some form of comfort in the pitch black.

Finding her target, she clutched his shirt. " Sor..Sorry, it's just...the dark." She didn't really know this stranger, but he exuded warmth and she breathed his scent in deeply. He smelled like cologne and something else she couldn't quite place, but it was sweet and she really liked it.
